LAVINIA (LEVINIA) SELLERS: Born 11 Jul 1848 in AL.; died 13 Dec 1899.  Married James H. Lawson who was the son of James & Matilda Lawson who moved with Gurley to AL.  Marriage date 23 Jun 1871.  James was born 1848 in AL and died 29 Sep 1924.  James H. received a grant for 119 acres in Section 6 Township 20 in 1885.  This is the same Section as Mary Sellers and Jemison. In the 1880 census, they are living near Jemison Sellers and no children are listed.  There is no further record of their having children.  Both Lavinia and James are buried at Old Blue Creek although James did remarry after Lavinia’s death.  He married a Charity Dicky and are living in the same area and probably the same farm as he had granted.  Charity is buried Pleasant Grove Cem., Jefferson Co.  (Charity had Jim committed due to Alzheimer or similar disease.)
